Matariki information

Matatriki is coming up so we have been learning about some matariki facts.

Here is what I found out about matariki.

We are learning to find out more things about Matariki moari new year.

I found it easy to get some information because I knew some of them and I found out some in a Matariki book.

I really enjoyed doing this activity because it was a special thing that maoris do.

Next time I need to make it less colourful and more like Matariki.

Octopus poem

We are learning to identify language features.

I found it easy to find the language features because we all had talked about it on the mat

I found it hard to fit the information that i found into my book.

I really enjoyed drawing and colouring in.

Next time I need to make my writing tidy and small.

Public vs Private info

 We are learning about our digital footprint.

We talked about private and Public information. 

I learned not to tell your most personal information because someone might find you.

I already knew not to tell your phone number,your address,your last name and your teachers name.

We were learning about our digital footprint.

I found it easy to highlight the colours,because I already knew most of them.

I found it hard to do all of those colours because i had to keep changing the highlight colours.

I really enjoyed to do this task because it was fun and tricky at the same time.

Blake-NZ

 Last term Blake-NZ visited.

We learned about marine reserves.

We were able to use VR sets to explore the oceans.

I found it easy to learn about how to protect the ocean Because the VR set mode was interesting.

I found it easy to learn what the oceans all about because we all talked about it.

I found it hard to stay still when we were using the VR sets.

I really enjoyed looking at what the VR set was showing me.

Next time i need to remember all the information that they tell us.

Clickety-clack Cicada

I have been learning  about language features in literacy time.The way we have been doing this is by reading and understanding the poems.

Some of the features that we found in the poems are metaphors,verbs,onomatopoeia and 

adjectives.

This week we read Clickety-clack Cicada by Jill Brasell.

We were learning about language features.

I found it easy to highlight and write the language features meaning.

I found it hard to find some different language features because I didn´t really understand some of them because we haven't been learning them for long.

I really enjoyed making the highlight colours a different colour.

Next time I need to focus on finding more language features.

This is what i´m like and what I like to do,and my goal enjoy.

The Loaves

We were learning about metaphors. A metaphor compares 2 different things. In this poem the author used metaphor to compare bread to clouds.

I found it easy to draw the patterns because that was the most thing i focused on.

 I found it hard to find some metaphors and adjectives.

 I really enjoyed to colour in because i tried to make my artwork pretty.

 

 Next time i need to focused on my work more than my drawings.
